Um diese those plausibel zu machen, will ich zuerst die beiden Begriffe 'polis' und 'eudaimonia' mit dem aristotelischen Inhalt füllen. In einem zweiten Schritt soll dann die Verzahnung der beiden Schriften und somit die Wechselwirkung zwischen polis-Leben und eudaimonia-Leben expliziert werden. Im letzten Abschnitt will ich die Frage aufwerfen, ob auch heute davon gesprochen werden kann, dass Stadtmenschen glücklicher im Sinne der eudaimonia leben. Diese Reflexion soll dazu dienen die vorherigen theoretischen Überlegungen zu den aristotelischen Schriften systematisch nutzbar zu machen. Die innerhalb dieser Reflexion verwendete Übersetzung von 'polis' mit 'Stadt' und 'eudaimonia' mit 'Glück' bzw. ‚gelingendem Leben‘ wird im zweiten Arbeitsschritt diskutiert.
